Brother Cateo’s speech at the 2022 Black History Month Celebration at the White House

In February 2022, Brother Cateo was invited to speak at the 2022 Black History Month Celebration at the White House, discussing his experience in LPTM and the importance of youth mentoring programs such as Life Pieces. As a result of his speech at the White House in 2022, he was awarded a full Presidential Scholarship to Delaware State University and another LPTM Apprentice, Brother Tory’elle Coleman, was offered a full Presidential Scholarship to Virginia State University because both university presidents were in the audience. Both young men are now enrolled Brother Cateo was personally invited back as a guest to a 2023 iteration of the Black History Month event.
